Trout fishing
Lake Taupo offers 616 kilometres of anglers’ heaven. With a landmass the size of Singapore, for decades now, anglers have been coming to Taupo from all around the world to enjoy what’s on offer.
Kinloch Golf Course
A short drive from The Lodge you will find one of New Zealand's top golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus. Offering breathtaking & undulating landscape & magnificent views of Lake Taupo and beyond.
Bungy Taupo
Taupo is home to New Zealand's highest cliff-top Bungy jump–47m above the mighty Waikato River. If Bungy is not your thing then try the Taupo Swing. Soar through the air reaching speeds up to 70kph.
Formula Challenge
Formula Challenge is the ultimate experience. With a fleet of V8 Holden, Ford Race cars & NZ-built Formula Challenge single seaters there is a car for everyone. Experience the memories of a lifetime!
Scenic Flights
Take a helicopter, charter plane or a seaplane on the lake & take in the magnificent views of Huka Falls, crater topped volcanoes in the Tongariro National Park or the hidden valley of Orakei Korako.

Ten minutes from The Flying Trout Boutique Lodge you will find a world-acclaimed 18-hole Golf course and a flora and fauna sanctuary. Like no other the Sanctuary compliments the Golf course
Huka Falls
You can’t come to Taupo without visiting Huka Falls! This is the most popular natural attraction in New Zealand. Only a 10-minute drive from The Flying Trout Boutique Lodge.
ParaSailing
Operating between October and April you can come and enjoy the thrill of sailing 1000ft above Lake Taupo and take in the breathtaking views from above.
